Returns Policy
Thirty days, prepaid labels, no restocking fees — how returns work on every new and refurbished unit you buy from Restart, including PO and NET 30 orders.
The promise
You have 30 days from the delivery date to return any item bought on Restart for a full refund. Not "30 days from order", not "30 days minus shipping" — 30 days from the moment the carrier marks your package delivered. If something is off, send it back.
What's covered
- Change of mind — you decided it is not for you.
- A defect or malfunction within the 30-day window.
- The device arrived in a condition worse than its listed grade.
- Missing accessories that were explicitly listed on the product page.
What's not covered
- Cosmetic wear consistent with the device's published grade — see the Grade A/B/C fine print below.
- Damage caused after delivery (drops, liquid, unauthorised repair).
- Consumable accessories such as earbud tips, SIM ejectors, or replacement cables once opened.
- Items returned outside the 30-day window — those fall under the warranty policy.
How to start a return
Go to your account's Returns tab, pick the order, and choose a reason. You will see your prepaid label on the next screen. No phone call required. If you checked out as a guest, use the order-lookup link in your confirmation email.
Shipping return labels
Every return ships on us. The label is prepaid and can be dropped off at any USPS, UPS, or FedEx location — the carrier is selected for you based on the item and your address. Use the original packaging when you can; if you cannot, any box that protects the device in transit is fine.
Refund timeline
Once we receive and inspect the return, we issue a refund within 3–5 business days. The refund goes back to the original payment method. Depending on your bank, it can take another couple of days to show up on your statement.
Grade A/B/C fine print
Every listing states a grade, and every grade has a definition:
- Grade A — near-new cosmetic condition; minor signs of use only under direct light.
- Grade B — light, visible wear (small scuffs, faint scratches) with no dents or cracks.
- Grade C — noticeable cosmetic wear, including deeper scratches and small dents, with full functionality.
We cannot accept a return that cites cosmetic condition matching the grade you bought. If the device arrives worse than its listed grade, we will refund in full and cover return shipping.
PO and NET 30 orders
This return policy applies identically to orders placed on a purchase order or under NET 30 terms. Nothing changes about the 30-day window, prepaid labels, or refund eligibility.
For RMAs on invoiced orders, the credit is deducted from the open invoice before or during NET 30 settlement. No cash refund is required unless you specifically request one — most buyers prefer the net-of-returns invoice. For orders over 50 units, contact your account manager to coordinate bulk returns; we will schedule a pickup or consolidated drop-off rather than issuing individual labels.
Restocking fees
We do not charge restocking fees. Ever. Not on open-box returns, not on oversized items, not on holiday orders. No restocking fees on any order, including bulk POs.
Damaged or wrong items
If your package arrives damaged or contains the wrong item, start a return the same way and choose the relevant reason. We will either ship a replacement or issue a full refund, whichever you prefer. Please keep the original packaging and any photos — they help us file a carrier claim where applicable.
